Here you will find a space to rest your body and mind, restore your creativity, and regain your natural state of inner peace and well-being. The retreat will be flow between personal time, sharing circle and optional guided activities.

Go for a walk and connect with the land. Listen deeply to the inner stirrings of your heart and the natural world around you. Sit in circle with others and feel the support of this open, inclusive and welcoming community. Be nourished and well-cared for with delicious, wholesome meals and comfortable accommodations.

Tanya is the Five Oaks Program Coordinator, retreat facilitator, and spiritual director. Tanya has a passion for creating sacred space for people to listen deeply, reflect and take transformative action in their own lives. She understands the joys and challenges of life and the absolute necessity of soul care.

Michael Shewburg
Leaders
Michael Shewburg is the Executive Director of Five Oaks Centre, an intercultural centre for retreat, education and healing. Michael is also the minister of Richwood United Church, a rural church in Oxford County. Michael is a Designated Lay Minister of The United Church of Canada. Michael has worked at Islington United Church and as part of the ministry there developed the GO Project. Michael served the General Council Office of the United Church of Canada in People in Partnership and started Ministry working with camping and youth. Michael lives in Brant County with his family, on a sustainable organic farming operation.
