Plan Your Visit – Road Construction

The Downtown Dig in Paris is underway again for 2026 as part of a multi-year project to revitalize the town’s streets, sidewalks, and underground infrastructure. While some vehicle traffic may be temporarily redirected, the area remains accessible, and businesses continue to welcome visitors.

Timeline: Spring 2026 to Late Summer/Early Fall 2026

If you’re travelling through Paris on your way to Five Oaks Centre, we recommend following the County’s suggested detours to avoid potential delays. Guests arriving from the north will still be able to reach us easily by planning their route in advance. For current detour maps and updates, visit EngageBrant.ca/DowntownDig

We thank you for your patience during this important project and look forward to welcoming you to Five Oaks without interruption.

Plan Your Visit – Road Construction

There is currently construction in various areas around Paris as part of ongoing road and infrastructure improvements. Please plan ahead and allow a little extra travel time when coming to Five Oaks Centre. We appreciate your patience as these improvements are completed and look forward to welcoming you to Five Oaks.

Downtown Paris Construction

The Downtown Dig in Paris is a multi-year revitalization project focused on upgrading streets, sidewalks, and underground infrastructure throughout the downtown core. Work is being completed in phases across different areas of downtown, which means traffic patterns and access routes will change over time.

Timeline: 2024–2026 construction on West River Street and Grand River Street North; 2027–2029 construction on Mechanic Street, Broadway Street West, and William Street.

Highway 403 & Rest Acres Road Construction

Construction at the Highway 403 and Rest Acres Road interchange is ongoing as the Ministry of Transportation upgrades the interchange with new roundabouts, roadway improvements, and enhanced traffic flow measures.

Timeline: Construction is expected to continue throughout 2026.

Guests will still be able to reach Five Oaks Centre throughout the project, though travel routes may vary as construction progresses. Those travelling via Highway 403 and Rest Acres Road should allow extra travel time, as periodic ramp closures, lane reductions, and temporary traffic changes may occur during construction. For more details on this project, visit EngageBrant.ca/403Roundabout. For the most up-to-date closure information and detours, we recommend checking Ontario 511 before you travel.

East Paris Corridor Construction

Road and infrastructure improvements are underway across the East Paris corridor, including Dundas Street East and Governors Road East (Highway 2), Paris Road, and nearby connecting roads. This multi-year project includes road upgrades and underground servicing, with changing traffic patterns and lane reductions expected as work progresses.

Timeline: Expected to continue through 2026, with some work extending into 2027.

For guests travelling to Five Oaks Centre from Brantford and surrounding eastern areas via Paris Road / Governors Road, please note temporary lane direction changes and shifting traffic configurations.
