Financial Donations

Donations are part of the history of Five Oaks, when Bev Oaten and friends built the structures and programs we still see today.

We welcome all donations and Tax Receipts will be issued for donations of $20.00 or more. Five Oaks is a registered charitable organization and will be a good steward of the information gathered on this site – we do not sell, share or rent this information to a third party.

In Memoriam Donations:

If you’d like to make a donation in memory of someone please provide us with the following information:

  • The name of the deceased
  • The name and address of the person to whom you would like an acknowledgment to be sent.
  • The relationship of the deceased to the recipient of the acknowledgment letter.

We will send a letter on your behalf indicating a donation was made in memory of the deceased person.

In Celebration Donations:

If you are celebrating a special occasion (birthday, wedding, new job, anniversary, retirement) but don’t really need any more presents, gift cards or ill fitting sweaters, consider inviting your friends and family to make a donation, in lieu of gifts, to a cause you care about.

Or, if you would like to celebrate someone’s special occasion (new baby, graduation, new home, anniversary …) or to honour someone who has made an impact in your life, you may make a financial donation and add a note in the “Special Designation” field on our secure online donation form, providing us with the name and address of your “honouree”. We will send a notice of your thoughtful gesture, along with a one-line message you’d like us to include.

If you’d like to make a donation as a meaningful gift to a group of people, simply send us a lump sum donation, a list of recipients who should receive acknowledgment and any one-line special message you would like us to include and we will send acknowledgment cards to your gift recipients.

Monthly Donations (also known as PAR):

PAR or Pre-Authorized Remittance is a “direct debit” program that allows people to support Five Oaks through an automatic monthly withdrawal from their bank account.

Gifts-in-Kind

If you are unable to make a Financial Contribution, consider donating items that will keep guests feeling comfortable and provide Programs with adequate resources. Please click here for a list of items currently needed here at the Centre.

Legacy Giving

Leaving a Donation to Five Oaks in your Will is a lasting testimony to your generosity and will help support those that come to Five Oaks who see and seek deeper meaning in life. Click here for some helpful tips when planning your Legacy.

Faith Bonds

Five Oaks offers an investment opportunity called Faith Bonds. They are ten thousand dollar loans made by individuals to Five Oaks with three, five, and seven year terms available. The 1% interest will be paid annually. Learn more here.
