Meals at Five Oaks can be provided by an independent on-site caterer called The Kitchen. They offer delicious, sustainable, and locally sourced food at an affordable rate. For pricing and more information, you can arrange your catering needs directly with The Kitchen.
Grand River Rafting is a company that offers trips down the Grand River – which the Five Oaks property backs onto. They offer hiking and floating classrooms that are guided trips, which provide education about the history of the valley and edible and medicinal plants. They also offer self-guided trips for those who just want to enjoy the peace and quiet. You can choose from a variety of boats including; canoes, kayaks, rafts, tubes, and stand up paddle boards. Additionally, there are a variety of trips offered which range in length and cater to experience level. Special requests can be made to book a trip that starts or ends on Five Oaks Property.
GROWE offers interpretive hikes and nature themed programs to schools, groups, families, corporate groups, and individuals. They can cater to any desired program duration from 2.5 hours to multiple day excursions. Participants will learn plant, tree, and bird identification while hiking the Carolinian Forest surrounding the heritage Grand River. The variety of programs range from Winter Survival, Night Safari, Wild Teas, and Nature’s Connection. GROWE also facilitates outdoor school, school break and summer camps for youth at Five Oaks.
Help your group to strengthen interpersonal connections, develop collaborative skills and have a whole lot of learning and laughter. Programs can be anywhere from 45 minutes up to 3 hours and can range from unique ‘getting to know you’ activities, to engaging reflection and personal growth activities, to full on fun team challenges and skill building.
Judy Steers is a Five Oaks staff member but also does Team Building and Facilitation. She has over 20 years of experience of working with groups from five to over one hundred, ages 6-96. Programs are custom made to meet your needs, theme and goals, and can incorporate spiritual themes or teachings.

The primary studio location is in the main building of Five Oaks which is situated on 116 acres of gorgeous Carolinian Forest and bordered by the Grand River and Whiteman’s Creek. It is the perfect location to disconnect from it all and reconnect with what matters most. Ageless Arts Yoga believes that yoga should be accessible to everybody and every body! If you are coming to Five Oaks for spiritual reflection, you can request the services of a Spiritual Director. With this person you may want to spend an hour walking the labyrinth or sitting on a bench to explore your spiritual longings or questions.
